Weekend Preview: Violinist Chee-Yun to Perform
Pre-performance lecture with Fairfax Symphony Orchestra is at 7 p.m.
Violinist Chee-Yun will perform this weekend with the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra in two performances in the area. She'll make her first stop at the George Mason University Center for the Arts Concert Hall in a performance that begins at 8 p.m. A pre-performance lecture is set for 7 p.m. The symphony, conducted by Christopher Zimmerman, will perform Bernstein's Candide and Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 "From the New World." Chee-Yun will perform Walton's Violin Concerto with the symphony. The second performance, on Sunday, takes place in Manassas.
