ReplyGo to the Brennan Center for Justice and read a number of their studies on the subject. They have done these studies over a period of several years.

Voter fraud is incredibly rare, and is designed primarily to keep voters from voting.

I encourage everyone to read the text of his money coining bill. It reads like a doomsday text. In addition to this craziness;
He’s made remarks about how disabled children are a curse from God;
He’s hands off any kind of balance and regulation on the gun issue, but yet he will regulate the day lights out of your personal life (think birth control, gay rights, personhood amendment with all its legal complications etc etc) He’d rather turn schools into armed camps.
In 2012 he introduced a bill that deals with the production of incandescent light bulbs in VA and avoiding federal regulations. The purpose was just to dodge the more energy efficient compact light bulbs. This was so way out that it didn’t even make to the House floor.
He would not be in office if people knew just how out of the mainstream he really is. His mailers make him look so normal, but he’s not! Only the hard core ideologues bother to post on his behalf.

ReplyLet's not get too simplistic! Hostess had management problems, AND I cannot imagine how a snack food with NO nutritional value lasted as long as it did. I haven't eaten one since Archie Bunker was on TV. Twinkies etc have been overwhelmed by other more tasty, yet nutritionally empty and heavily advertised, "snacks"

ReplyThe foundation for this “secession petition” is the basest of motives. Some people just cannot get over the fact that a black man is President of the United States AND leader of the free world. It’s roots are racism plain and simple. And it’s also another angry white guy initiative. McCain still cant get over losing the 08 election (his anger is palpable when he speaks on the Senate floor), and there are others like him who cant get passed 08, and they can’t get passed 2012.

Agree with you Bloomie! It's not right that something should be rushed like that. there was not time for anyone to say anything. I think it was done that way on purpose so people couldn't say anything The mayor probably worked them over good after the last meeting. He probably leaned on them big time.
Think about that, and also think about their bad judgment passing the water bill increase (only Mr. Banks voted against it). now they're trying to throw their car in reverse and do something at the last minute that would lower the water bill, but the damage is already done. Most of council have already shown their bad judgment and willingness to cave in to the mayor -

this is about power, control and dominance. men have controlled women for so long that there's still men who dont know how to deal with women on equal footing.
they may think they are dealing fairly but they are not.
its the old "dont worry your pretty little head about that honey" Why else would someone take away such a delicate heart wrenching decision from another person and claim they are the ones who "know best" My wife and I both would never try to grab that kind of decision from another person
