Robert F. Dorr is an author (1955-   ), veteran of Air Force service  in Korea (1957-60), and a retired senior American diplomat (1964-89) who served at embassies and consulates overseas. He once gave a speech to a Rotary Club in Kitakyushu, Japan, in the Japanese language. He is the author of 75 books and more than ten thousand magazine articles about Air Force operations and history and military affairs. In addition to "MISSION TO BERLIN," his books currently in print are "AIR FORCE ONE," about presidential aircraft and "HELL HAWKS" (co-authored with astronaut Thomas D. Jones) about a P-47 Thunderbolt fighter group in World War II. Bob writes regular columns for Air Force Times, Aerospace America, Air Power History, and other publications.
